Havern's hot streak
Boston College junior wing Ned
Havern of Arlington, whose goal in overtime made the difference in last Tuesday's 2-1
victory at Providence, now has three goals in his last six games after scoring just once in
17 games.
"Ned had to make some adjustments going from Arlington High to Hockey East and he's figuring
out how to play at this level," said BC coach Jerry York, whose team is ranked second
nationally and plays at Northeastern tomorrow. "His game has improved, along with his
quickness and strength, especially over the past month, and it's happening at the right
time for us."
The Eagles, 17-3-3 and on top of Hockey East with a 10-1-2 mark, were beaten by NU, 3-0,
three weeks ago at Matthews Arena.
