Lush's long string
Clarkson College senior cocaptain Tristan Lush
of North Andover has never missed a game in his college career, having played in 131 games going
into Saturday's 11-mile jaunt to St. Lawrence, where the teams will play for the 164th time. Lush
has been invaluable this season for Clarkson first-year coach George Roll, who played for and
coached under York at Bowling Green.
Lush, who has filled in on defense in three of the last four games because of injuries, has 64
career points (22 goals, 42 assists) and is 3-6-9 this season, including back-to-back winning
goals against Findlay and Sacred Heart. He is 12 games shy of the school record for most games
played.
"Tristan's a very versatile player who puts the needs of the team over individual recognition;
he's more than held his own on the blue line," said Roll, a former Clarkson assistant who coached
Oswego State to the NCAA Division 3 title game last year. "He's been very reliable in every
situation we've placed him in and he does it without complaint."
